File processing
Current WUS3 processing tools perform checks, compression, and conversion inside your browser on your device. These tool paths do not send the contents or names of files you select to a WUS3 server or to the measurement service.
Local storage for large files
When the large-PDF processing path is used, WUS3 may use site-private browser storage. The working file or result is stored locally through the Origin Private File System (OPFS), while operation metadata and resume checkpoints are stored in IndexedDB. Local Storage may be used for simple operational hints or preferences, not to store the file contents in this path. This data remains within the site's storage area in that browser profile on your device unless you choose to download a file or send it to an external service.
Resume and deletion
Local storage allows the large-file path to show a previous operation that can be resumed in the same browser. To resume, WUS3 may ask you to select the same original file so it can verify the file and continue from the saved state. You can remove a saved operation or local copy using the controls shown by the tool. Clearing WUS3 site data in your browser also removes local storage controlled by that browser. Clearing site data or deleting the browser profile can make saved operations impossible to resume.
Usage data
We may use optional measurement after you consent to understand page performance and improve the user experience. Tool events are limited to general operational metadata such as tool type, outcome, or item counts; they do not include file bytes or filenames. You can continue using WUS3 without enabling this measurement.
Advertising and external services
Some pages may include advertisements, links, or services provided by third parties. When you move to an external service, its own privacy and data-use policies apply.
Protecting your information
WUS3 tools do not ask for passwords, verification codes, or login credentials for accounts you hold with other organizations. Always use the organization’s official channels when entering account credentials.
